2010 Mitsubishi ASX 1.8L Turbocharged

Incredible! New marketed in February in Japan, Mitsubishi ASX that appear at the Geneva Mot or Show (GMS) in 2010, overwhelmed to meet the demand of orders has reached 5169 units.

The car is in Europe called RVR can accommodate five people in it, is a compact crossover, length 4.3 meters, and located on the segment below the Outlander. Mitsubishi has not released details on the specifications and price of this car. ASX will carry dapurpacu 1.8L turbocharged, direct-injection six-speed manual transmission.

New Proton Inspira: The Malaysian Lancer Officially Launched

Proton has officially unveiled its Mitsubishi Lancer-derived Inspira mid-sizer, after its soft launch to the public and media in late October. Since then Proton has received over 1,800 bookings from customers around Malaysia in anticipation of its market launch this month.

The new model is the result of an OEM collaboration (the word "rebadge" sounds nastier...) between PROTON and Mitsubishi Japan, the latter providing the mechanical and design basis and the former tweaking the model for the Malaysian market.

Among those changes are the signature Proton grille and -according to the Malaysian company- the incorporation of Lotus DNA in the Inspira's ride and handling.

Dato' Sri Mohd. Nadzmi Mohd, the Chairman of Proton parent corporation Proton Holdings Berhad, explains:

"PROTON is ready to move even further ahead to become a recognised player in the global automotive industry. We have been working and collaborating with Mitsubishi for the last 25 years and its a natural step forward for us to continue to work with them in this project. One of our product strategy is to introduce non-core models through strategic collaborations which provides a more efficient, timely, and cost effective product to the market. The Proton Inspira is an excellent example of this strategic collaboration."

Proton Holdings Berhad's Managing Director Dato' Haji Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir is equally enamoured with the new model:

Bigger is Better: Mitsubishi's US-Spec Wide-Bodied i-MiEV Revealed Ahead of LA Show

These are the first official photos of the North American version of Mitsubishi's i-MiEV all-electric city, which will have its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show, to be held from Wednesday, November 17 to Sunday November 28.

Even though big ideas can come in small packages, for most things in America, consumers believe that "bigger is better" and "better is bigger". And seeing what happened with Mercedes-Benz and its Smart Fortwo mini, Mitsubishi decided to "fatten-up" the North American version of the i-MiEV, and make it bigger than its Japanese- and European-spec counterparts.

"[The i-MiEV] features an enhanced, enlarged body structure to secure plenty of space for four adults and better meet the expectations of U.S. consumers," said Mitsubishi in a statement.

With this and that, the wider and longer US-Spec i-MiEV measures 3,680 mm / 144.9" (+258mm or +9.8") in length, 1,585 mm / 62.4" (+110mm or +4.3") in width, 1,615 mm / 63.6" (+5mm or +0.2") in height.

In addition to the larger frame, the North American-spec i-MiEV gets a new set of front and rear bumpers as well as some interior changes.

Mitsubishi has not yet released details on the U.S. model's electric-drivetrain. The smaller JDM version of the plug-in EV is powered by an electric motor with 64HP (47kW) and 180Nm (132.8-lbs/ft) of maximum torque, driving the rear wheels. A full charge of the lithium-ion batteries is said to offer a driving range of up to 100 miles or 160 km.

2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sport Car

At an MSRP of $ 20,699 - $ 32,599, 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a 2-door coupe is available in GS, GS Sport and GT trims. This fast car illustrates the power and performance. Exterior features include a 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse: body-colored door handles, black front grille, color-keyed mirrors, automatic headlights with automatic off, color-keyed rear spoiler, daytime running lights, front air dam, front and rear body color bumpers, front fog lights and halogen lights. As well, it also features side / cab step or slipper, step up bumper, front air dam, metallic paint, electric sliding side door van, power trunk lid, or the lower skid plate protection, splash guards or mud, and wind or buffer for convertibles.

The interior of 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse features include: leather upholstery and heated front seats, leather-wrapped shift knob, remote engine start is optional on the automatic transmission model, the front seats, adjustable steering instruments including tachometer, digital odometer, dual trip meter , and fuel / temp scale. As well, it also includes power door locks, remote keyless entry with panic alarm, cruise control, anti-theft alarm with engine immobilizer, AM / FM radio with 140-watts total, and 6 speakers, CD player, MP3 player, front auxiliary audio input jack in a glass radio antenna, and manual air conditioning.

Along with the introduction of the rest of the 2010 Outlander facelift range, Mitsubishi's U.S. division also uncovered the top-of-the-line GT model which is based on the New York Show Outlander GT prototype that previewed the redesigned model earlier this year. And while Mitsubishi didn't stick with the prototype's lower exterior trim finish, 19-inch O.Z. alloys, aluminum roof finish and the specific three-spoke steering wheel, what it did keep on the production GT is a version of the Lancer EVO X's S-AWC or Super All-Wheel Control system.
The S-AWC system uses an active front limited-slip differential and an electronically controlled four-wheel drive coupling to prevent wheel slip between front to rear and side-to-side thus improving handling, traction and stability.
The 2010 Outlander GT also gets 18-inch alloy wheels, enhanced interior trim with leather seats and an available full leather treatment for the dashboard, sport seats, alloy pedals, a multi color 3.5-inch LCD between the gauges, a sunroof and an upgraded 710-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system.
Just like the 2010 Outlander XLS, the GT benefits from the tweaked 3.0-liter V6 engine that gets a 10-horsepower bump for 2010, now producing 230HP at 6,250 rpm and 204 lb-ft of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Power is transfered to the wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters.
The new Outlander GT is priced in the U.S. from $29,250 (excluding destination and handling fees).
